Channel Tunnel

Folkestone to Calais/Coquelles in 35 minutes, up to 4 times an hour, 24 hours a day.

Both French and British customs and passport formalities are dealt with before boarding the train, so that you can join the motorway system within moments of completing your crossing.

The Eurotunnel terminals offer shopping, fast food restaurants, bureau de change and AA & RAC shops.

Cross-Channel ferries

P&O Stena Line offer frequent crossings for car and passengers throughout the day and night, with sailings every 45 minutes in peak periods on the Dover-Calais route.

SeaFrance ferries also operate on the Dover-Calais route with frequent crossings.

Ferries have excellent facilities with restaurants, bars, shops, lounges, open-air decks, video games and lots more.

Motoring to the South of France

The autoroute network in France is extremely good and, except on peak holiday travelling days, generally far less busy than motorways in the United Kingdom.

It is now possible to drive all the way by autoroute from Calais to Provence and the Côte d'Azur, avoiding Paris entirely.

There are plenty of good service areas for fuel, car maintenance, fast food and shopping. As well as the service areas, French autoroutes are well served with rest areas which have basic loos, picnic areas and, very often, children's play areas.

Except around key cities, tolls are charged on all autoroutes and, for convenience, payment can be made using credit cards such as Visa and Mastercard.

Flights

The region is well served for air travel with scheduled flights to three airports - Nice, Marseille and Toulon-Hyères. A variety of carriers have daily flights from London and other UK cities. We do not arrange flights, but your travel agent will have full details.

A wide choice of cars is available, particularly at the airports. We will be happy to arrange all your car rental requirements.
